The Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL) at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore, Pakistan, invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor/early Associate Professor position (tenure track). SAHSOL offers a five-year BA- LLB degree and attracts the brightest students from across the country. The School has a vibrant faculty with diverse research interests and teaching portfolios. Since the founding of the law program in 2005, the School has offered students a rigorous training in core legal skills as well as the chance to study law in context.  SAHSOL is currently in the midst of curricular restructuring in order to reduce their core law offerings and to make space for additional elective streams. The School is especially interested in candidates who can teach contract or property from its core course requirements but with an academic interest in any area of the law.  A developed research portfolio and/or practice experience that would enable the candidate to innovate new elective courses for students from law and related disciplines is a priority in hiring.

Applicants are expected to have a JD degree or other equivalent qualification at the time of appointment (Fall 2021), exhibit a clear vision for teaching, and show evidence of research. The successful candidate will be required to teach undergraduate students, achieve high standards of research, serve on departmental/university committees and provide input towards the development of the current and future programs of study. The appointment will commence in Fall of 2021.
