Job Description: 

Position Purpose:  

To undertake the process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, layouts, webpage banners, presentations etc. in order to capture the attention of the targeted audience and communicate the message of NOP.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Study design briefs and determine requirements.
  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
  • Create visual elements such as original images and illustrations that help deliver a desired message. Design layouts and select colors, images, and typefaces to use.
  • Work with team to produce final design and amend designs after feedback.
  • Test graphics across various social mediums.
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and as per the branding policy.
  • Conduct interviews/research, utilizing archives, collections and other sources of information, to add content along with the design.
  • Design and make presentations on various office functionalities.
  • Assist in designing objectives and plans for the department’s print collateral i.e. publications, webpage, flyers, posters.
  • Assist in the creation, updating, and collation of webpage and Instagram content as per need.
  • To comply with university policies and maintain complete confidentiality in all aspects.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven graphic designing experience
  • A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, InPage, Canva etc.)
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
  • Accuracy and ability to take initiative
  • Teamwork and negotiation skills
  • Flexibility and drive
  • IT literacy, Computer skills to produce effective reports, documents and presentations
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a cross – function team with a positive attitude
  • Pressure handling

To qualify for this role, you must have:

  • 4 years Bachelor’s Degree/ Master’s degree from an HEC recognized University or a foreign University of good repute with a focus on communication and analysis
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role

Work Schedule & Travel:

Business hours may extend into the evenings and weekends depending on workload. Travel may be required depending on departmental needs. Flexibility & commitment is a must.
