Job Description: 

Position Purpose: 

The selected candidate will work with other team members doing research and development related to problem related robotics. His responsibility will mainly be sensor interfacing and coding robotics algorithms in ROS.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Profound understanding in key robotics areas like Motion Planning, Perception, Sensor Fusion, SLAM, Steering/Drive Control, Autonomous Control Systems.
  • High proficiency in Python and C++.
  • Demonstrable experience in Robotics Operating System(ROS).
  • Understanding of Networked Systems and Protocols (TCP/IP, UDP for ROS).
  • Understanding of sensor interfacing and related electronics.
  • Experience with Unix systems preferably Ubuntu.

Knowledged and Skills:

  • Robotics and demonstration of built robots is highly appreciable
  • Good communication skills
  • Team Work

To qualify for this role you must have:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or another relevant field from a HEC recognized institute.
  • At least 6 Month's experience in the relevent field.
  • Experience in open source software development and customization.
  • Linux based OS (x86, x86-64, ARM) in desktop (command line), server and/or embedded systems.
  • Clear understanding of ROS file system, stacks, packages, nodes and rosbags. 

Work Schedule and Travel:

Occasional field visits as per requirement.
