Job Description: 

The Social Media Intern is responsible for coordinating and executing the Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) social media strategy, working across key social media channels including Facebook, Instagram and Snap Chat. This role offers the intern hands-on experience in the digital market. The intern will work closely with key members of the CCA Office and learn about social media, digital communications and marketing. This role will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence and gaining visibility for co-curricular activities. Anyone with design experience will be preferred.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with developing a social media marketing strategy for the CCA office
  • Assist with creating and streamlining CCA’s social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and other social media platforms)
  • Ensure uniform content and tone of voice for landing pages, graphics, and other elements within the communities
  • Research market and latest trends
  • Write and format articles
  • Build a library of stock photos
  • Design visual for social media
  • Post on Social Media
  • Create stories for Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat
  • Manage social media queries and chat with the social fan base
  • Collect, review and report analytics

Work Schedule:

At least 10 hour per week weekly

Skills: 
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • An interest in marketing, communications, social media or reputation management
  • Familiarity with design tools
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate our values of insight, hard work, and effectiveness
