Position Purpose:

The selected candidate will lead other team members (Research Associates and Graduate Students) responsible for solving problems related to Robotics, Remote Sensing & GIS, Software development and machine learning/ Artificial intelligence. Responsibility will encompass solution design, timelines & development.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Proven work experience as a researcher/developer, with evidence of specific work (preferably in Robotics) with exposure to any one of the fields Robotics, Electronics, Machine learning and Software development.
  • High proficiency in task designing, execution and reporting.
  • Proficiency and demonstrable experience in any one of interest areas mentioned above.
  • Understanding of mutual coordination and team leading in a research setup.
  • Understanding and experience with sensor interfacing and electronics.
  • Proficiency in GitHub repository.

Knowledged and Skills:

  • Linux based OS (x86, x86-64, ARM) in desktop (command line), server and/or embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of UNIX systems, specifically for embedded applications.
  • Knowledge of sensor interfacing and driver development like LIDAR, mono-cameras, stereo cameras, IMU, sonar, GPS, pressure sensors, GPS modules, LORA modules, Ultrasonic sensors etc.
  • Coding standards, coding review, source control management, build processes, testing and maintaining open-source software in Linux.
  • Good communication skills and tendency to work in a team.

To qualify for this role you must have:

  • MS degree in Electrical Engineering,Mechatronics,Computer Science or another relevant field from a HEC recognized institution.
  • At least 4 years of practical experience in interest areas. Practical demonstration of built system/systems is highly appreciable.
