Description:

The Program Development Associate plays a pivotal role in enhancing the student experience by supporting and managing co-curricular activities at LUMS. This contractual position involves close collaboration with student societies, university administration, and external stakeholders to ensure that all programs align with the values and goals of the university. The role requires a student-centric approach, operational excellence, and strategic thinking to promote an inclusive and vibrant campus environment.

Key Accountabilities

Student Societies Facilitation:

  • Advise and support 48 student societies, acting as a liaison with university administration to align activities with LUMS values.

Event Management:

  • Coordinate planning and execution of co-curricular events, ensuring logistical efficiency and safety compliance.

Departmental Collaboration:

  • Work with various departments to enhance co-curricular activities and student engagement.

Strategy and Policy Development:

  • Contribute to strategic planning and policy making for the Co-Curricular Activities Office, aligned with university goals.

Problem-Solving and Operations:

  • Tackle challenges in co-curricular activities, ensuring smooth office operations and resource management.

Student-Centric Approach:

  • Focus on student needs, integrating their feedback into program development.

Handling Sensitive Issues:

  • Address sensitive issues with empathy, maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Assess co-curricular programs and activities, using feedback for continuous improvement.

Promotion and Communication:

  • Promote co-curricular activities, using various channels to engage students.

Student Society Communication:

  • Oversee communication within student societies, ensuring clarity and adherence to LUMS standards.

Handling Student Queries:

  • Respond to student inquiries about co-curricular activities, providing guidance and information.

Event Approval Portal Management:

  • Manage event approval processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with guidelines.

Student Society Training:

  • Develop and conduct training for society leaders, focusing on leadership, event management, and best practices.

Supporting External Partnerships:

  • Assist societies in forming and managing external partnerships that align with LUMS values.

Ensuring Brand Consistency:

  • Maintain brand consistency across all society branding and promotional materials.

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • An understanding of student development and co-curricular engagement.

  • Proficiency in social media, Microsoft Excel, and documentation.
