Position Purpose:
We are looking for a talented Specialist who will be responsible for developing a clearly thought-out marketing and communication strategy to provide a strong foundation for developing brand identity within and outside of LUMS for the School of Education. Additionally, they will need to devise and execute an effective recruitment strategy to maximize SOE admissions. As part of the Student Affairs office s/he will also oversee and enhance student affairs programs, fostering engagement, well-being, and development to support academic and personal success, and act as the main interface between students, faculty, and various departments at LUMS. Manage and execute the admissions process, ensuring a seamless, fair, and efficient experience for prospective students.

Responsibilities
 

MARKETING and ADMISSIONS 
 

  • Creating a long-term marketing plan for the direction, design, and concept of the SOE brand image. S/he will develop and implement an integrated marketing communication model for the various aspects of SOE.
  • S/he should be able to develop and implement a strategic plan for brand building activities that will contribute to creating a lasting impact e.g. through events, collateral development (newsletter, flyers, blogs etc.) and social media engagement. 
  • Conducting surveys with the MPhil students and analyzing data with regards to the effectiveness of different communication mediums e.g. print, social media, word of mouth, radio etc.
  • Manage the social media presence of SOE by developing marketing content for the SOE website, Instagram, Facebook page and Twitter and boosting its viewership.
  • Think creatively and develop new design concepts and layouts for product illustrations.
  • S/he will be responsible for student outreach and recruitment during the admission cycle.
  • Organize Information sessions and other events for students within LUMS across the undergraduate and graduate levels to inform them of opportunities and major players in the education sector.
  • Write and compose SOE publications, event write-ups, Newsletter and summary reports.
  • Connect with media outlets and journalists to place stories about SOE events and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with LUMS Marketing for website and social media updates, newsletter and other various publications.
  • Assist Office of Partnerships, SOE Academics department, Dean’s Office and Career Placements with event logistics and coverage (social media, website).
  • Manage and execute admissions processes, outreach, and enrollment strategies to attract and support prospective students.

STUDENT AFFAIRS
 

  • Creating strategy for the operations of the Student Services department.
  • Working with different departments at LUMS to ensure smooth implementation of student transition into the School of Education Graduate programme.
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for student development.
  • Attend to individual student queries and requests.
  • Collate and maintain student files.
  • Keep students informed about all activities through promotion and publication.
  • Interacting and engaging with students regarding day-to-day activities.
  • Coordinate between students and the different departments within SOE and at LUMS 
    throughout the year.
  • Assist student led initiatives (e.g. Summer series programmes + Grad student council). 
  • Responsible for administrative management of the female and male residences.
  • For academic counseling and enrolment procedures, act as a liaison between students and 
    Programme Academic Associate.
  • Plan and arrange events and workshops at the School and department level (new student orientation, lecture series, recreational activities, career workshops, TLI events).
  • Facilitate and manage of all co-curricular student activity programs and events.
  • Establishing and evaluating policies, procedures, and guidelines for events and operations.
  • Prepare and manage the operating budget and expenditures related to the Student Services department.
  • Generating various reports as and when requested.
  • Coordinating with school psychologist to set up student appointments.
  • Coordinating with the Dean office to set up Dean advising sessions 

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
