Position Purpose:
As part of the continued growth and success of our MBA, EMBA, and MS programs, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Lead, Placement to oversee and drive the placement activities for our students. This role will be responsible for leading a team of placement professionals, managing recruiter relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of placement strategies. The Team Lead will play a pivotal role in enhancing the employability of our students and strengthening the institution's reputation with the corporate community. The Team Lead, Placement will play a critical role in driving the success of the Placement Office by leading a high-performing team, building strong industry relationships, and ensuring the successful placement of our MBA, EMBA, and MS students.
Key Accountabilities:
• Team Leadership and Management:
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of placement Associates, ensuring high performance and alignment with organizational goals.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment within the placement team.
• Conduct regular team meetings, set performance targets, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Assist Head of Placement to conduct regular reviews of placement office operations to ensure efficiency & effectiveness.
• Recruiter Engagement and Relationship Management:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with recruiters, corporate partners, and industry professionals to create internship and job opportunities for students.
• Act as the primary point of contact for recruiters, ensuring smooth communication and addressing any concerns or requirements.
• Identify and onboard new recruiters to expand the placement opportunities for students.
• Recruitment Event Planning and Execution:
• Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of on-campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and networking nights and coffee on Campus
• Ensure seamless logistics, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and communication with recruiters and students.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment events and implement improvements for future initiatives.
• Student Career Development and Support:
• Provide strategic guidance and support to students in career planning, resume building, interview preparation, and personal branding.
• Organize and conduct workshops, seminars, and mock interviews to enhance students' employability skills.
• Monitor and track student progress in the placement process, offering personalized assistance as needed.
• Industry and Alumni Collaboration:
• Build and maintain partnerships with industry associations, alumni networks, and professional organizations to enhance placement opportunities.
• Liaise with CSO to leverage alumni networks for mentorship programs, guest lectures, and networking events.
• Collaborate with faculty and industry experts to align placement strategies with current market trends.
• Support Head of Placement in identifying and securing funding opportunities through alumni donations or sponsorships to support placement initiatives.
• Data Management and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student placements, recruiter feedback, and internship opportunities.
• Analyse placement data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and provide actionable insights for improvement.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics and achievements.
• Program Development and Strategy:
• Continuously assess and enhance placement programs and services to meet the evolving needs of students and recruiters.
• Stay updated on industry trends, labour market demands, and emerging career opportunities to ensure the placement office remains competitive.
• Develop and implement innovative strategies to improve placement outcomes and student satisfaction.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with recruiters, students, and faculty.
• Proven track record of organizing successful recruitment events and achieving placement targets.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to track and measure placement outcomes.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing market dynamics.
• Knowledge of current industry trends and job market demands.
• Strong organizational and event management skills.

Qualification:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
Experience:
5-7 years of experience in recruitment, career services, or talent acquisition, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Experience working with MBA, EMBA, or MS students is highly desirable.
