Position Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Digital Marketing Lead strategies and creates content, and manages the University’s social media channels, to engage prospective students, educators and counsellors, parents, donors, and general audiences. The Digital Marketing Lead will also monitor account activity and lead the university’s efforts to remain relevant, engaging, and on the leading edge of social media content that effectively tells the LUMS narrative and communicates the culture of the University.
The Digital Marketing Lead will also oversee content creation for the LUMS website and ensure periodic reviews of the existing content across the home and subdomains.
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for designing and implementing the social media and digital strategy for LUMS.
- Communicates and connects with various audiences using social media.
- Manages main social profiles on a variety of social media platforms and is responsible for targeted social media campaigns. Coordinates and creates digital content working with the other photography and videography, website team.
- Maintain a bird’s eye view of social media channels and University presence and rework the social media strategy with the Head of Marketing to ensure relevance to current trends.
- Strategize a sustainable balance of actionable, shareable, engaging, cutting-edge content per channel that builds and strengthens the university’s audiences.
- Create original, authentic, high-quality content for prospective students/donors/alumni.
- Monitor the university’s social media channels daily.
- Working with the Head of Marketing, take active calls on setting paid and organic social media strategies for the university with the primary goal of growing engagement with prospective students, donors, alumni, and other influencers. Actively maintain paid social media advertising campaigns.
- Closely work with the media team to lead the photography and videography content strategy and creation for social media.
- Work with other communicators across campus to ensure all university social media channels are following best practices and working to grow their audiences.
- Build and maintain a content calendar for admission’s campaign, donor, and alumni engagement.
- Work closely with the communications team to identify and showcase compelling stories university wide.
- Track, report, and respond to social media metrics and engagement, troubleshooting and pivoting when necessary.
- Initiate innovative ideas for digital marketing efforts.
- Create and monitor content for the LUMS website and other digital assets.

- Up to date on the latest trends and developments in social media marketing.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, branding, and digital marketing.
- Ability to think strategically about the University’s brand identity and marketing strategies.

Education:
Bachelor/Master’s in digital marketing, Communications, or English Literature from an HEC-recognised institute (foreign qualification preferred).
Experience:
At least 5 years of relevant work experience with a reputable organisation.
