Position Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Daycare Manager to lead our Daycare Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Daycare, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and managing a team of diverse staff members.

Key Accountabilities:

Child Care and Development

  • Ensure a high-quality, child-centred program that promotes child development.
  • Develop and implement activities that meet the needs of children of diverse age groups staying sensitive to their needs and are inclusive of all children.

Leadership and Management:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff members.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and resources.

Staff Development & Training:

  • Foster a positive, supportive and empathetic work environment for the Daycare staff.
  • Recruit, train and supervise staff members.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching.

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children and staff.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Parental Engagement & Communication:

  • Foster positive and professional relationships and engagement with parents on their child’s development and well-being.
  • Manage the daycare communication channels, including the daycare website, to ensure effective engagement and communication with parents.

Operational Management:

  • Ensure seamless operations in compliance with safety regulations maintaining high standards of childcare practices and institutional policies.
  • Communicate with relevant departments for procurement, maintenance, installations, and upgrades, ensuring a safe and well-equipped daycare facility.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Hands-on experience with children in various settings.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with children, parents, and staff.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
Qualification

To qualify for this role, you must have:

  • At least a Bachelor’s (Hons) degree from a HEC-recognised University.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in similar role.
