Position Purpose: 

To support the Marketing team in ensuring that the University elevates its presence in Pakistan through developing engaging digital content for the social media platforms, publications and website. The role requires developing content for digital channels with the aim of driving engagement, building audience, increasing web traffic.
 

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Write, develop, edit, and publish content and copy for a variety of LUMS digital platforms, including websites, blogs, videos, email marketing campaigns, advertising campaigns, social media posts, infographics.
  • Create messaging, marketing materials, and various forms of digital online copy for LUMS Admission, non-admission campaigns directed towards building brand awareness.
  • Follow brand guidelines to ensure digital messaging is consistent with LUMS guidelines/value/mission.
  • Work closely with the digital marketing team to produce content that generates results
  • Use editing, content management, and HTML skills to publish and edit content across various digital platforms
  • Use knowledge of SEO and content development to create digital content ensuring visibility of the University across multiple search platforms
  • Monitor and present analytics with relevant data, trends, successes, exceptions etc.
  • Use web etiquette to ensure the right message is delivered through the right channels
  • Work closely with the offline marketing and online marketing team as well as the IT/web team to ensure cohesive delivery of activities across platforms aligned to strategic objectives

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of marketing concepts, advertising, devising and executing campaigns, public relations and client management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Being mindful of things like flow, readability, and sentence variety
  • An understanding of search engine optimization best practices 
  • The ability to cooperate with other writers and editors to complete projects
  • The ability to give feedback on writing projects
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, social media, managing content for digital channels

Education:

Master’s degree from an accredited university

Experience:

2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a reputable organisation/institute with previous experience of producing digital content.
