Position Purpose

The Centre for Islamic Finance (CIF) at SDSB-LUMS serves as a platform for thought leadership to the Islamic finance discipline. The Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Director in executing the Centre’s strategic vision through research initiatives, executive education programs, and development of high quality scholarly outputs. The role involves overseeing a team of research associates and coordinating internal and external engagements to advance CIF’s mission. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Planning and executing CIF’s research agenda and academic activities.
  • Manage and mentor a team of research associates involved in Islamic finance related research and content development.
  • Coordinate the design, delivery, and evaluation of Islamic finance executive education programs and workshops.
  • Develop high quality reports, policy briefs, and scholarly content in collaboration with faculty and external experts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including industry leaders, regulatory bodies, and academic institutions.
  • Organize events, seminars, and conferences aligned with the Centre’s goals.
  • Ensure timely and efficient project execution, budgeting, and reporting in coordination with the School and University offices.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Director in Centre-related activities.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience in managing teams and engaging with senior stakeholders.

  • Experience in academic or research settings.
  • Familiarity with executive education and training delivery.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.

Qualification
  • At least a MBA or Master’s degree Business, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field. 
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience.
