The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences (MGSHSS) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (Assistant Professor or above) in Political Science.
We seek candidates with a PhD in Political Science/International Relations/Political Economy and who can teach, alongside core Political Science courses, qualitative and/or quantitative research methods at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s two undergraduate degrees: BSc (Honors) in Political Science and BSc (Honors) in Politics and Economics. Both programs encourage students to explore Pakistan and the broader globalized world through diverse theoretical and methodological perspectives within the social sciences.

This is a full-time, on-campus position, requiring the selected candidate to be physically present, including for in-person teaching.
Applicants must posses:
- A PhD in Political Science/International Relations/Political Economy and who can teach, alongside core Political Science courses, qualitative and/or quantitative research methods at the undergraduate level.
- A strong interest in and commitment to undergraduate teaching in Pakistan.
- A strong interest in and commitment to undergraduate teaching in Pakistan.
- A commitment to institution-building.
Candidates must have either completed their PhD or submitted their dissertation at the time of application.
