The Project Engineer (Wireless Networks & IoT Systems) will be responsible for the deployment, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wireless communication and IoT infrastructure for project activities in Reshun, Chitral. The selected candidate will independently manage field deployments of IoT systems, ensuring reliable communication and network performance in remote environments.

The role requires a technically competent and self-motivated engineer who can work independently in the field, coordinate with project teams, and support the implementation of innovative communication and sensing technologies in challenging terrain.

Main Responsibilities

• Independently deploy, configure, and maintain wireless IoT network infrastructure.
• Conduct site surveys and assess locations for wireless network deployment and optimization.
• Install, test, and maintain communication equipment, antennas, routers, sensors, embedded devices, and supporting power systems.
• Knowledge of antenna and familiarity with antenna testing tools
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues in the field.
• Support integration of IoT devices, embedded systems, and sensor networks with communication infrastructure.
• Assist in programming, configuration, testing, and commissioning of deployed systems.
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and coverage.
• Prepare technical documentation, deployment reports, maintenance logs, and project updates.
• Coordinate with project staff and stakeholders to ensure timely execution of field activities.
• Support training, demonstrations, and community engagement activities related to project deployments.
• Ensure compliance with project procedures, safety guidelines, and documentation standards.
