Position Purpose:
The Data Analytics and Market Research associate will serve as a central data and insights role at LUMSx. The position is responsible for applying data science and statistical analysis techniques to consolidate and analyze learner, course, evaluation, geographic, digital engagement, and revenue data into coherent, decision ready insights.
The role places strong emphasis on hands on data analysis, dashboard development, and visualization using tools such as Power BI, ensuring leadership and program teams have timely, reliable, and actionable insights to inform program strategy, growth, and impact measurement.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Science, Analytics and Dashboards:
- Perform statistical analysis on learner, course, and revenue datasets
- Clean, structure, and analyse large datasets using Excel, Python, or similar tools
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards using Power BI and related visualization tools
- Analyse learner behaviour, engagement, completion, and feedback trends
- Analyse digital and social media datasets to generate insights for outreach and engagement
- Translate complex analyses into concise, decision ready insights
Market Research and Course Ideation Support:
- Conduct structured market and sector research to identify emerging skills and demand trends
- Analyse competitor offerings, pricing, and formats using data driven approaches
- Support course ideation through evidence based research briefs
- Design and analyze surveys and feedback instruments
Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:
- Prepare monthly analytics and insights reports for leadership
- Present dashboards and findings in a clear, visually compelling manner
- Collaborate with program, marketing, and business development teams
Knowledge & Skills:
- Advanced Excel skills
- Power BI dashboard development experience
- Working knowledge of Python for data analysis
- Experience with statistical analysis techniques
- Experience with SQL, APIs, or automation tools.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to interpret and communicate data driven insights
- Clear presentation and visualization skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, IT, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Postgraduate coursework or certification in data analytics or data science is preferred.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, statistical analysis, or data science roles.
- Experience working with education, digital platforms, or social media datasets.
