LUMS HR organised a comprehensive training session titled "People Managers Training" aimed at enhancing managerial skills and fostering professional development. The training was conducted by the renowned expert, Mr Fakhir Shah. His core strength lies in helping managers develop their people skills, and he has an in-depth understanding of the fears and challenges that company leadership faces.
The training was held across four batches, with participants from various departments. This diverse group reflected our commitment to inclusive growth and cross-departmental collaboration.
The primary objectives of the training were:
1. Training aimed to create an environment where people could learn from their own and each other’s experiences.
2. To allow participants to identify the key roles of a People Manager in light of the Care and Growth Leadership Model.
3. To uncover relevant competencies for participants to learn and execute those roles successfully.
The training was based on adult learning principles. It examined existing assumptions and allowed participants to see the contradictions they resulted in.
The "People Managers Training" session was a significant step towards our goal of continuous employee development and excellence.
