LUMS HR organised a comprehensive training session titled "Strategic Communication Training" for two batches. The session was aimed at enhancing communication skills and fostering professional development. The training was conducted by the esteemed trainer, Dr. Aamna Khalid from Avant Visionaire, known for her expertise in strategic communication and leadership development. She is also a faculty member at LUMS.
The training covered essential aspects such as gaining and maintaining credibility, formulating effective communication strategies, thinking quickly and clearly, and mastering writing and speaking concisely. Additionally, it aimed to hone professional email etiquette and the art of crafting compelling narratives to engage and inspire action.
Participants from various departments attended the training, reflecting our commitment to inclusive growth and cross-departmental collaboration.
The primary objectives of the training were:
1. To Know the elements of credibility - how to gain it, and how to lose it.
2. To Formulate an effective communication strategy for any message, in any medium, and in any situation.
3. Recognize the importance of adapting communication styles to various audiences and situations for maximum impact.
4. Learn how to think quickly, generate and share your ideas in a clear and effective manner without any ambiguities and catering to the needs of all stakeholders.
5. Write & speak clearly, concisely, considerately and convincingly to create goodwill and ensure inclusivity.
6. Develop precision in writing & speaking to ensure maximum audience comprehension.
7. Develop near mastery in the etiquettes of professional emails.
8. Utilize the psychology of influence to craft persuasive content.
9. Craft compelling narratives to engage audiences, appeal to them logically, and call them to action.
The "Strategic Communication Training" session was a significant step towards our goal of continuous employee development and excellence.
