LUMS organized a heart-warming Christmas celebration for its Christian colleagues on December 14, 2023, outside Executive Dining Hall and invited all staff to join in the celebration. The arrangements were made by the Office of Human Resources, Office of International Affairs (OIA), and Office of Accessibility, and Inclusion (OAI).
Guiding the festivities with charm and flair, Masters of Ceremony Faisal Nadeem from HR and Shemiah Parshad from the Office of Advancement set the tone for a joyous occasion. The event commenced with a soulful reading of Bible Verses by an MBM staff member, infusing a sense of reverence. This solemn moment transitioned seamlessly into an engaging quiz, featuring questions about Christmas and intriguing facts about LUMS. The deserving winners were joyously presented with thoughtfully curated gift hampers.
The unfolding of the celebration continued with a cascade of entertaining games, including the uproarious Christmas Tree Decorating Competition. Laughter and chuckles echoed as the audience reveled in the festivities, and the winners of each game were further adorned with Christmas gifts, adding an extra layer of excitement to the proceedings. The atmosphere was further enriched with melodious singing performances by talented staff members, creating a lighthearted ambiance.
The celebration reached a musical crescendo with the addition of Mr. Zeeshan Khalid, who joined as a musician, infusing an exciting touch into the festivities. The distinguished presence of the Salvation Army, serving as chief guests, added a touch of honor as they led the congregation in Thanksgiving prayers. The event featured a ceremonial cake cutting to celebrate unity and joy, followed by the thoughtful distribution of souvenirs not only to the Salvation Army but also to Mr. Zeeshan Khalid, acknowledging his musical contribution.
The festivities concluded on a high note with a lavish hi-tea and sweets distribution for all staff members, creating an environment of camaraderie and togetherness, encapsulating the spirit of the season.
