The Office of Human Resources (HR) at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) actively participated in the Annual Career Fair of 2024. This prestigious event, meticulously organized by the University’s Career Services Office, transpired at the LUMS Football Ground on February 3rd, 2023.
The career fair serves as a paramount platform for fostering networking opportunities and cultivating connections with esteemed LUMS alumni and students. It is designed to facilitate potential career advancements and simultaneously contribute to the betterment of the alma mater.
In the context of this year's participation, the HR department devoted its efforts to underscore the significance of health and wellness. This endeavour was manifested through a series of engaging activities and giveaways featuring interactive games such as Scrabble and Spin the Wheel. Students were granted the opportunity to actively participate, thereby contributing to the dissemination of awareness and advocacy for health and wellness.
LUMS, in its unwavering commitment to equipping students with the necessary resources and guidance, aims to empower them to make informed decisions about their future. The institution recognizes the imperative of exposing students to a diverse array of opportunities within the professional realm. The HR department engaged with the audience during the career fair, presenting various prospects, including internships, research assistance, teaching positions, and full-time employment.
Noteworthy is the fact that the HR booth garnered visits from eminent members of the University's leadership, including the Provost and Director of HR. The industrious efforts of the HR team were duly acknowledged and appreciated by peers, students, and esteemed officials alike.
